When to prepresent?

Does anyone have any advice on when and to whom to prepresent a BSC report? Seems like I'm spending a lot of time on prepresents and not sure I'm gettign the value out of the exercise.

Prepresents are a way for leaders to get prepared for a strategic discussion. By showing them data and highlighting issues in advance of a meeting you are enabling them to thoughtully consider the issue and come to the meeting ready to engage in a substantive discussion.

The payback may not be evident to you if you are not in the meetings. But keep at it. Pre-presents will minimize defensiveness, eliminate data readouts in team meetings and foster substantive conversations.
