Mission Driven Performance Conference - Balanced Scorecards for the Public Sector

Posted March 1, 2010 12:11 PM by Ted Jackson

It is hard not to get excited about the Mission-Driven Performance Summit that starts tomorrow in Washington, DC. Drs. Norton and Kaplan are great key notes when it comes to understanding and applying leading edge thinking around the topic of strategy management. There are clinics on Tuesday and then great case studes on Wednesday and Thursday. Over 100 people are registered to attend.

On Tuesday, we will have clinics or workshops covering basic Balanced Scorecard as well as Risk Management, Initiative Management, and Performance Reporting. Then on Wednesday, we have cases from the Army Enterprise Task force as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). With David Norton and Bob Kaplan speaking, you would think it would be enough of a full day, but we also have case presentations from Atlanta Public Schools, ACCION, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, and the Office of Federal Student Aid.

On Thursday, we have more of David Norton and cases from Project Management Institute, Rare, Catholic Charities, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. We will also have panel discussions throughout, including one where attendees from last year talk about their progress and inspiration they get from this valuable conference. If you are attending, I hope you are excited about the agenda, and if you canno attend, you should mark this event on your calendar for next year. This event is twice the size of last year's conference.
