Software Selection Hi, My boss has told me to get started with the Balanced Scorecard, so I'm here learning. Seems to me that I should get some software to do the reporting on it, too. Any advice on a package? We're too small to use something like SAP or Oracle, and would consider an online solution... Thanks, Tim |

RE: Software Selection Tim, I suggest holding off for a few months until your scorecard development process is complete. Sometimes choosing a software package can derail your strategy development process. The software is getting a lot better, but it can still sometimes be a red herring.Jim |

RE: Software Selection Tim, No idea if this is any good at all, but here's a link to an Excel spreadsheet that purports to be a Balanced Scorecard system: http://www.exinfm.com/free_spreadsheets.html Tina |

RE: Software Selection We are just a division of a bigger company, and the bigger company did not have any BSC specific software. Right now, we use Excel with conditional formatting for our color coding. The spreadsheet is a bit cumbersome, but we have an Excel "master" who does a lot of the management for us. I think we will grow out of it in the next year. |
